DBT Skills for Every Practice : A 1-Day DBT Intensive

Intensive Training on Dialectical Behavior Therapy

May 9 @ 8:30 am - 4:30 pm ($95)

This DBT intensive skills training will provide clinicians with the skills and tools needed to successfully integrate DBT  into everyday practice in a variety of settings including individual and group therapy.

This seminar is offered in person in Plymouth, MN. Lunch will be provided!

Dialectical Behavior Therapy is a well-established evidence-based practice that has been used for a wide variety of mental health concerns in a number of different settings to excellent effect.  The skills that are a fundamental part of DBT empower both clinicians and clients to assert control over their lives in a variety of ways.  DBT instills clients with a sense of hope and capability through improvement of mindful awareness, tolerance of distress and crisis management, regulation of emotions on a day-to-day basis, and improvement of relational functioning while maintaining personal integrity.  These skills are intended to help clients master their day-to-day functioning while working towards a life worth living.

This one-day intensive training will provide clinicians with a brief understanding of the fundamental philosophy and foundation of DBT before helping clinicians develop understanding, knowledge, and capability around how to teach skills in a meaningful and lasting way.  Attendees can anticipate an overview of the skills that are an integral part of DBT, as well as learning experiences on how to implement these skills through tools such as the Skills Implementation Plan and the Behavior Chain Analysis.
